Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Needed!

Special Ed Teacher - Tiverton, RI (24/25 SY)

We are looking for a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to join our team for the full 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves working closely with students who have diverse learning needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute tailored lesson plans based on each student's IEP.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide comprehensive support for students.
• Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.

Requirements:

• Valid RIDE Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
