Inpatient Pharmacist Philadelphia PA

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity at a hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders, ensuring appropriate therapy decisions, and supporting the clinical team in optimizing patient outcomes.

Start Date: May 4
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and clinical appropriateness.

• Assess drug interactions, patient history, allergies, and lab values prior to dispensing.

• Oversee pharmacy inventory and maintain appropriate supply levels.

• Provide accurate drug information and consultation to healthcare providers.

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and students in medication preparation and dispensing.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuum of care.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program (PharmD preferred)

• Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (active and in good standing)

• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience or clinical APPE rotation

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• BLS certification preferred
