Premier Opportunity in Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy

Soliant Health is currently recruiting for an exceptional Specialty Pharmacist to join a leading home infusion and specialty pharmacy provider in Nashville, Tennessee. This distinguished role offers substantial clinical involvement and leadership opportunities within a growing organization.

Position Overview

As a Specialty Pharmacist with this respected provider, you will serve as a critical clinical team member, ensuring medication safety and optimal patient outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients with complex medical needs.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Primary hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Rotation to 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM when on-call

Core Responsibilities

  • Review and approve prescriptions according to State Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Conduct comprehensive medication assessments using patient medical information
  • Perform final verification of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for controlled substances and legend drugs
  • Implement quality and cost containment strategies for all dispensing and procurement activities
  • Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Assess laboratory data and therapeutic drug ranges to optimize medication therapies
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and serve as pharmacy leader in the absence of the Pharmacist in Charge
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to company proprietary information and protected health information
  • Collaborate on special projects and initiatives as directed by pharmacy management

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy school
  • Current Tennessee pharmacist license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience
  • Experience with specialty medications, rare disease states, and complex therapies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique and USP <797> standards
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines and regulations
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with pharmacy management systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong multitasking abilities and proven performance under pressure
  • Experience with prior authorization processes and insurance navigation
  • Knowledge of specialty medication patient assistance programs
