Hospital Research Pharmacist New York, NY (Full Time or Part Time)

A leading research-focused hospital in New York City is seeking an experienced hospital pharmacist with strong cleanroom and IV preparation experience. This is a dynamic contract opportunity offering full-time or part-time flexibility and the potential to transition into a permanent role.

This position is ideal for a clinically-driven pharmacist looking to expand into a research-heavy role while supporting inpatient care and investigational protocols in a high-compliance environment.

Position Overview:

• Schedule: Full Time (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) or Part Time (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM)

• Assignment Length: 13+ weeks with potential for temp-to-perm

• Start: ASAP

• Setting: Hospital-based with strong focus on investigational drug dispensing and sterile product preparation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications (including investigational drugs) following clinical protocols

• Work in a cleanroom environment preparing sterile products per USP <797>

• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding workflows

• Interpret clinical research protocols and maintain accurate, compliant documentation

• Ensure compliance with NYSBP, TJC, NYDOH, DEA, FDA, NIH, and all related regulatory bodies

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and research teams to support pharmacological and trial-related inquiries

Requirements:

• Active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing

• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience

• Proven experience with IV preparation and cleanroom operations

• Proficiency with hospital EHR systems such as EPIC or Cerner

• Strong understanding of controlled drug dispensing and investigational protocols

• Ability to work independently in a research-heavy clinical setting
