Full-Time Corrections Pharmacist – California

Soliant Health is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Corrections Pharmacist for a long-term, open-ended contract position at LA County Correctional Facility in Downtown Los Angeles, California. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing essential pharmacy services in a correctional healthcare setting.

Position Details:

• Start Date: Mid-June 2025
• Duration: Long-term, open-ended contract
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week with a combination of day, evening, and overnight shifts:
• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Evening Shifts: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Overnight Shifts: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (occasionally)

• Duties: The pharmacist will be responsible for medication management, order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with medical staff, and ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications in a high-security correctional facility.
• Job Requirements:
• Active California Pharmacist License: Required
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy is required. Hospital or corrections experience is a plus.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a combination of day, evening, and overnight shifts as needed.
• Local Candidates Preferred: Due to the nature of the facility, local candidates are strongly preferred.
• Security Clearance: Candidates must complete the necessary forms and provide documentation for security clearance. They must also pass the LA County Department of Health Services competency test, EH onboarding, and Livescan (similar to Olive View and Harbor facilities).
