We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to advance into a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role. This position is in a high-volume, specialty pharmacy setting that primarily serves the HIV/AIDS community.
 

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (No weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and verify medications with attention to detail and clinical appropriateness.

  • Communicate respectfully and empathetically with patients, fostering trust and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and other CAN sites.

  • Contribute to a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a proactive approach.

  • Exhibit strong pharmacy intuition—identify and respond to workflow needs as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License

  • 1–2 years of recent experience in high-volume retail or specialty pharmacy, with direct HIV/AIDS dispensing experience (must be clearly noted on resume)

  • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS medications

  • Prior supervisory or management experience highly preferred

  • Software proficiency with QS1 (or strong general software skills)

  • Sensitivity and respect for the unique needs of the HIV/AIDS patient population
