Full Time Outpatient Infusion Pharmacist - Chicago, IL

Position Overview:
This role will focus on providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion environment. The selected candidate will work closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to ensure safe, effective, and timely medication therapy, particularly related to chemotherapy and other oncology treatments.

Responsibilities Include:

• Verifying chemotherapy and supportive care medication orders with high attention to detail

• Supervising and directing pharmacy technicians in daily operations

• Consulting with healthcare professionals regarding treatment regimens and medication-related inquiries

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards

• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for order entry, documentation, and medication management

Schedule:

• Full-time, day shifts

• 13-week contract with potential for extension or temp-to-hire

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license (in good standing) – Required

• Prior experience in an oncology/chemotherapy-focused pharmacy setting – Required

• Working knowledge of EPIC and Pyxis – Required

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, patient-centered environment
