Pharmacy Technician - Wilmington, DE

We are actively hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity for a Specialty Compounding Pharmacy. This is an exciting role for techs ready to expand their skill set—candidates will be trained across both fulfillment & production areas, with the goal of mastering the full process. Position Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Term: 13 Weeks (TTH) - Full Time (30 hrs. per week)

• Schedule Options:

  • Monday–Friday: 7 am– 3:30 pm OR 3 pm- 11:30 pm

Job Duties:

• Ensures compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines in non-sterile and sterile compounding practices, through initial and ongoing training and competencies.
• Reads and interprets prescriptions accurately and enters orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepares and compounds medications following established formulations and processes under pharmacist supervision.
• Assists in preparing correct formula log sheets and ensures proper documentation for compliance.
• Accurate measures, mixes, packages, and labels compounded medications.
• Manage inventory by maintaining adequate stock levels of ingredients, equipment, and PPE.
• Assists with batch compounding, product labeling, and verification of log entries.
• Ensures timely fulfillment and preparation of compounded prescriptions for shipping or patient pickup.
• Maintains accurate records of all compounded products and performs proper documentation of work performed.
• Document all tasks accurately in compliance with pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent Pharmacy Tech experience (required)
• PTCB (preferred)
• Previous experience with non-sterile or sterile compounding (preferred)
