Full-Time Retail/LTC Pharmacy Technician – Virginia

Job Description: As a Pharmacy Technician in this role, you will be responsible for performing typical retail and long-term care pharmacy duties, with a focus on data entry and ensuring accurate medication processing. You will be working full-time, Monday through Friday, with day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is expected to last for 13 weeks, with potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail and long-term care pharmacy duties, including medication dispensing and patient assistance
• Accurately enter prescription data into pharmacy systems
• Ensure all medications are properly prepared and labeled for distribution
• Manage inventory and stock medications as needed
• Assist pharmacists with any additional tasks or duties as required
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Requirements:

• Active and valid Pharmacy Technician license in Virginia is required
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or long-term care setting is required
• PTCB certification is preferred, but not required for this position
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available for an in-person interview or automatic offer upon meeting the qualifications
