Are you a skilled pharmacy technician with a passion for patient care and communication? We are seeking a Patient Care Representative (PCR) to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, clinicians, and pharmacists to ensure exceptional care and service.
- Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Setting: Retail
- Hours: Day shifts, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Maintain team schedules for patient follow-ups, refill assessments, and deliveries.
- Participate in team huddles to prioritize and coordinate processing, compounding, and deliveries.
- Communicate with patients to review inventory, anticipate care needs, and process orders.
- Ensure accurate documentation in progress notes and update medication profiles in EMR.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and warehouse staff.
- Assist pharmacists in obtaining and documenting lab values and communicating with physicians.
- Notify the reimbursement team of patient status changes and assist with scheduling equipment pick-ups.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards, HIPAA guidelines, and state regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program/certification as required by state regulations.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of customer satisfaction and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- 6+ months of pharmacy technician or related experience.
- Knowledge of Home Infusion, Specialty Infusion, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
- 2+ years of computer data entry experience.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
