Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
-
Directly supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
-
Ensure safe and efficient preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of sterile compounds, including IVs, TPNs, and antibiotics
-
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care
-
Establish and implement policies and procedures to maintain high-quality pharmacy services
-
Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted patient care
-
Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss pharmacy operations, workflow improvements, and regulatory updates

Ensure compliance with USP <797> and <800> guidelines

Take on Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy

Assist in resolving patient concerns and providing consultation as needed

Participate in on-call responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications:
-
Active Arizona Pharmacist License

Pharmacy degree (PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy)

Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a pharmacy setting

Minimum of 1 year of experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital, or clinical pharmacy

Expertise in sterile compounding, including TPNs, IV hydration, and antibiotic therapy

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to delegate effectively

Proficiency in CareTend or the ability to learn new pharmacy software quickly
-
Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, including USP <797> standards
