• Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 AM
• Saturday - Sunday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Position Overview:

A well-established long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy (DOP) to lead its operations. This facility has a smooth, established workflow with no Board of Pharmacy (BOP) challenges and a strong technician team. The pharmacy produces both sterile (IVs/TPNs) and non-sterile medications, making this an excellent opportunity for a leader with IV room regulatory expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Provide leadership to pharmacists and technicians while maintaining a positive work culture.
• Ensure adherence to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, especially those related to IV room compounding.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize workflow and maintain high-quality patient care.
• Manage pharmacy systems, including Frameworks and DocuTrack.
• Be available on-site as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years as a Director of Pharmacy (DOP) or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in an LTC setting.
• Licensure: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Connecticut Pharmacist License (willing to wait for license to post).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of IV room regulations and compounding requirements.
