We are currently seeking a dedicated Travel Pharmacist for an exciting opportunity at a 100-bed community hospital in Missouri. This position offers a 13-week contract with the potential for extension. Start ASAP and make a significant impact while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Overview: As a Travel Pharmacist, you will split your time equally between staffing duties and working on important projects alongside the Director of Pharmacy (DOP). This role offers a chance to contribute to the success of a well-established healthcare system, while utilizing your expertise in both operational and clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staffing (50% of time): Provide inpatient pharmacy services, including order verification, medication dispensing, and supporting pharmacy technicians.

  • Pharmacy Projects (50% of time): Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy on various ongoing projects, optimizing pharmacy operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure proper medication management practices are followed according to hospital protocols and guidelines.

  • Work with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Days: 4 ten-hour shifts per week

  • Duration: 13 weeks with the potential to extend

  • Start: ASAP

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist License in Missouri

  • Meditech and Pyxis experience preferred

  • At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience, inpatient experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
