We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team Piedmont, California. This part-time, direct-hire position is ideal for a professional who thrives on making a positive impact on students with mild to moderate disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with team members and parents.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve academic and developmental goals.
- Provide specialized instruction in alignment with students' IEPs and learning objectives.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate).
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
