Part-Time School Based Audiologist Needed | 10-16 Hours/Week - Nearby New Iberia, LA

Job Description:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated School-Based Audiologist to join a supportive educational team  for a school district nearby the area of New Iberia, Louisiana. This part-time opportunity requires 1.5 to 2 full days per week, working with students ranging from 3 years old to 12th grade. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in schools and supporting students' auditory needs to enhance their learning experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students.

• Develop and implement individualized audiology plans.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' auditory needs.

• Recommend appropriate assistive listening devices and hearing aids when necessary.

• Provide education and training to school personnel regarding hearing-related concerns.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Audiology (AuD or Ph.D.)

• Active Louisiana Audiology License (or ability to obtain before the start date)

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred

• Experience working with pediatric populations or in school-based settings is highly preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to adapt services to meet the diverse needs of students
