Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Chicago, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RN to provide exceptional post-operative care while experiencing life in one of the most vibrant cities in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery.
• Manage patient pain levels, vital signs, and overall stability.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of PACU or critical care experience (required).
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
• PALS certification (preferred).
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: Flexible, based on availability.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extensions.
• Shift: Variable shifts, including potential weekends and on-call rotations.
