Position Overview

We are actively seeking an experienced and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment in Decatur, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment, delivering exceptional patient care while exploring the vibrant community of Decatur.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies during surgical procedures.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to all facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or a compact state (or ability to obtain before assignment).
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential extensions).
• Schedule: Day shifts with possible on-call requirements.
