Special Education (SPED) Teacher 2024/2025 School Year

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year in Minnetonka, MN. The SPED Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Modify curriculum and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to IEPs as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting student goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
