We are currently working with a great school near Lombard, Illinois, that is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to support their students. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address the specific learning needs of students.
• Provide direct instruction and accommodations to help students succeed academically and socially.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure students receive appropriate resources and interventions.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure success.
• Execute positive behavior support plans and strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
• Supervise and guide paraprofessionals or educational technicians.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and team members about student progress and goals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
