Exciting Opportunity for a Medical Physicist in Memphis!

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to provide a range of services, including the development of techniques to standardize and calibrate imaging and therapy equipment. You will manage treatment planning for special cases, assist staff with treatment plans, simulations, and device fabrication, and ensure the accuracy and safety of treatment plans.

This role will involve consultation with physicians, performing acceptance testing, equipment commissioning, and ongoing quality assurance to meet hospital, state, federal, and accrediting body standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate treatment planning and other procedures as needed.
  • Oversee and implement quality control measures.
  • Document and collate all physics service activities.
  • Contribute to performance improvement and radiation safety initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the department.
  • Achieve assigned goals efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum: Master’s degree in Medical Physics

Experience:

  • DABR certification and at least 2 years of experience in a progressive cancer center or facility.
