Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg in Hendersonville, NC (28792)
12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Contract

Position Highlights:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays (every other).
• Float Requirements:
• Must float to similar units (Med Surg, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, and PCU) based on census.
• Possibility of floating to Respiratory Care to assist with COVID patients.

• On-Call: None.
• Facility Policy: Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty.

  Licensure and Certifications:

  • Active NC or Compact State RN License required.
  • AHA BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Travel Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience and one successful travel assignment required (no new travelers).
  • Electronic Health Record: Epic experience required.

  Unit Information:

  • Unit Type: Med/Surg-Oncology – 37 beds.
  • Patient Types:
  • Medical Admissions: Cancer, pneumonia, hypoxia, COPD, dehydration, DVT, infections, gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, mental status changes.
  • Surgical Admissions: General, bariatric, vascular, urological, gynecological, endoscopic, plastic, podiatric, ENT procedures.
• Patient Ratios:
• Days: 1:5-6.
• Nights: 1:6-7.
