Med/Surg RN Travel contract Job

Med Surg RN – Hendersonville, NC (28792)
12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week | 13-Week Contract

Job Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays (every other).
• Float Requirements:
• Float to similar units based on census, including Med Surg, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, and PCU.
• Possibility of floating to Respiratory Care for COVID patients.

• On-Call: None.
• Facility Policy: Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty.

  Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active NC or Compact State RN License.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Travel Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience and one successful travel assignment required (no new travelers).
  • Epic proficiency required.

  Unit Information:

  • Specialty Unit: Med/Surg-Oncology – 37 beds.
  • Patient Case Types:
  • Medical Admissions: Cancer, pneumonia, hypoxia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), dehydration, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), infections, gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, mental status changes.
  • Surgical Admissions: General, bariatric, vascular, urological, gynecological, endoscopic, plastic, podiatric, ENT surgical procedures.
• Patient Ratios:
• Days: 1:5-6.
• Nights: 1:6-7.
