Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Type: Contracted position for the 2024-2025 school year

Position Details:

• All staff members assigned to the programs will receive thorough training through the district for preparedness.
• Hours: Full-time, approximately 35 hours per week
• Responsibilities:
  • Providing educational instruction and support to students with severe disabilities or intense interventions.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Ability to lift and position or assist with two-person lifts for non-ambulatory students.

Requirements:

• Certification: State of Iowa Certification as a Special Education Teacher with a license in Severe Disabilities or Intense Interventions
• Experience: History of timely and accurate submission of IEPs
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and position or assist with two-person lifts for non-ambulatory students
• License: Active Special Education State License
