Hiring Special Education Teacher - Coburg, OR Area

Job Posting: Special Education Teacher (K-1)
Location: near Coburg, OR
Position: Full-Time, Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Provide instruction tailored to the specific needs of students with autism, focusing on social communication skills, behavior management, and academic progress.
• Collaborate with a team of 5 paraprofessionals to deliver effective classroom instruction and support.
• Track student progress, adapt lesson plans, and make adjustments to meet individual needs.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment that encourages growth and development.
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to ensure the success of each student.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and autism support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education (or eligibility for licensure).
• Experience working with students with autism and/or in social communication classrooms preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A passion for supporting children with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.
