Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year in Jefferson, OR. The SPED Teacher will work closely with students to provide individualized instruction and support, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to IEPs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting student goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
