**Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teachers – Multiple Positions**

Soliant is seeking **three dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teachers** to join schools in Portland, OR, for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for educators who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. ### **Position #1: Middle School SPED Teacher (Self-Contained Classroom)**
- **Grade Level:** Middle School
- **Classroom Type:** Self-Contained
- **Student Population:** 15 students
- **Responsibilities:** Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), provide a supportive and structured environment, collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff.
- **Ideal Candidate:** Experience in self-contained settings, strong classroom management, and familiarity with middle school curriculum.
### **Position #2: Elementary School SPED Teacher (General Classroom)**
- **Grade Level:** Elementary (K-5)
- **Classroom Type:** General Education with SPED integration
- **Student Population:** 20 students
- **Responsibilities:** Collaborate with general education teachers to support students with IEPs in an inclusive environment, adapt lessons to meet individual needs, work with a multidisciplinary team.
- **Ideal Candidate:** Strong co-teaching skills, experience with inclusive classrooms, and ability to differentiate instruction effectively.
### **Position #3: Elementary School SPED Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage)**
- **Grade Level:** Elementary (K-5)
- **Classroom Type:** General Education with SPED integration
- **Student Population:** 20 students
- **Duration:** Maternity leave coverage (specific dates to be determined)
- **Responsibilities:** Support students with IEPs in a general education setting, collaborate with staff, ensure continuity of instruction during the teacher’s leave.
- **Ideal Candidate:** Flexible, highly organized, and capable of stepping in to provide immediate support.
### **Requirements:**
- Valid Oregon teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
