Special Education Teacher

Location: Heartland, TX

Start: 24/25 School Year 

Caseload: Elementary Self-Contained 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents/guardians, support staff, and related service providers.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and promoting learning.
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies to facilitate student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid TX teaching licensure and endorsements for Special Education.
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher preferred.
• Understanding of individualized instruction, behavior management techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
