Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their therapy goals.
- Therapeutic Techniques: Provide direct patient care, including exercises, modalities, and therapeutic activities to improve patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
- Progress Documentation: Record patient progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist for treatment plan adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive care and ensure effective communication regarding patient needs.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises to promote ongoing improvement and independence.
Requirements:
- Certification: Current certification as a COTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- State License: Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
