Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Oklahoma City, OK

Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Techniques: Provide direct patient care, including exercises, modalities, and therapeutic activities to improve patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Progress Documentation: Record patient progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist for treatment plan adjustments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive care and ensure effective communication regarding patient needs.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises to promote ongoing improvement and independence.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Current certification as a COTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • State License: Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Education: Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
