This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in biological science or the equivalent, one year internship in a hospital clinical laboratory and current licensure with the Massachusetts as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS). Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
The Clinical Lab Scientist performs testing in all areas of the laboratory including chemistry, microbiology, hematology and transfusion services. Verifies results for the use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Demonstrates competency in patient testing for neonate, adult and geriatric patients.
