A radiation and oncology technician plays a crucial role in the hospital, using the study of cancer and tumors to best assist patients in dire need of medical care. Radiation and Oncology Education Requirements
A radiation and oncology technician is required to have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiology or a directly related field. Most states in the U.S. require radiation and oncology professionals to be licensed, and other states require the technician to pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification exam.
